TURBINE SIDE BORDER
This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely co-incidental. Please do not copy, translate or place on another site without my written permission. You are more than welcome to use this tutorial in a group setting, but please link to this page only.

Funhouse Filters
A tube of your choice.
The tube I have used for this tutorial is used with permission from H L Designs who have kindly allowed me to use their wonderful tubes in my tutorials and stationery.
Ok, if you have everything you need, lets begin.
- Open your tube of choice. Shift + D to duplicate it, and close the original.
- Image, resize and resize the tube by 85%, all layers Unchecked.
- Image, canvas size and use the following settings:-
- Width: 1025
- Height: Height of your graphic
- Placement: Left middle arrow.
- Using your eye dropper, chose two complimenting colours from your graphic for the foreground and background colour.
- In your colour palette, change your background to gradient and use the Foreground-Background gradient set at an angel of 90 and with 100 repeats.
- Add a new raster layer and flood fill with your gradient.
- Layers, arrange, send to bottom.
- Adjust, Blur, Gaussian blur and use a setting of 3.0
- Make sure that your tube layer (top layer) is the active one, and duplicate.
- With your mover tool, move the duplicate copy of the tube over slightly to the right.
- Effects, Plugins, Funhouse, Turbine Mirror and use a setting of 242.
- Edit, repeat Turbine Mirror.
- Effects, Plugins, Funhuse, Streakmirror and use the default settings.
- Layers, arrange, move down.
- Lower the opacity of this layer to 75%
- Highlight your top layer to select it, and duplicate it. Move the duplicate to the far right.
- Image, resize and resize by 75%, all layers Unchecked.
- Lower the opacity to around 35% and you may need to use your mover tool again to move it right over to the right hand side.
- Layers, arrange, move down.
- Making sure the top layer is the active layer again, add a drop shadow using the following settings:
- Vertical: 2
- Horizontal: 18
- Opacity: 35
- Blur: 25
- Color: Black
- Shadow on new layer: Unchecked.
- Add a new layer for your watermark.
- Merge all, flatten.
You can now take it into Letter Creator. A program that comes with IncrediMail.
Remember to tile it.
