Tools needed to complete this tutorial:-
Paint Shop Pro V8
A tube of your choice
I have used one of Jazzl’s tubes for this tutorial. Jane has very kindly allowed me to use her tubes in my tutorials and stationery.
Mask 202
Unzip into your mask folder.
No outside filters were used.
If you have everything you need, lets begin.
- Open the tube in PSP and using your eye dropper, chose a color that you would like to have for your background.
- Minimize the tube for now.
- Open a new transparent image 350 x 350 and flood fill with the color you chose from your tube.
- Add a texture if you like.
- Merge all, flatten and save as your background.
- Maximize your tube and resize it so that it is 100 pixels wider and longer than original with placement being your middle arrow.
- Add a new layer, layers, arrange send to bottom.
- In your colour palette, change your foreground to gradient and find a nice gradient that you like to flood fill the new layer with. I chose the Rainbow Pastel gradient.
- Highlight layer 1 in your layer palette and add the following drop shadow.
- Vertical: 4
- Horizontal: -8 (minus)
- Opacity: 45
- Blur: 10
- Color: Black
- Shadow on new layer: Unchecked.
- Repeat the drop shadow but change your Horizontal to 8.
- Merge visible
- Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load mask from disc and look for mask 202, invert transparency Unchecked
- Layers, Merge, merge group.
- Add a new layer and add your watermark.
- Save as a PSP file and open in Animation Shop. Click on save and just follow the prompts.
