A Gold Fill

VM Natural filter
I no longer give support for filters as they change constantly. If you do not have this filter, please do a Google search.

FRAME

  1. Open your graphic and resize if necessary.

  2. Shift + D to duplicate twice. Close the original and minimize one of the copies for now.

  3. Using your eye dropper chose two complimenting colours from your graphic. A light colour for your foreground, a dark colour for your background.

  4. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  5. Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  6. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  7. Selections, select all.

  8. Selections, modify, contract and contract by 8.

  9. Selections, invert.

  10. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop shadow and use the following settings:-

    • Vertical & Horizontal:      2
    • Opacity:      45
    • Blur:      12
    • Color:      Your background colour

  11. Repeat your drop shadow but change your vertical & horizontal to –2 (minus)

  12. Deselect.

  13. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel white border

  14. Select the border with your magic wand.

  15. In your colour palette, change your foreground to pattern, and find your gold gradient.

  16. Flood fill.

  17. Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

  18. Deselect.

  19. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  20. Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  21. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  22. Add 15 white border and flood fill with gold fill.

  23. Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.

  24. Deselect.

  25. Image, add border and add a 1 pixel border using your background colour.

  26. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour

  27. Image, add border and add a 1 pixel border using your background colour

  28. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour

  29. Image, add border and add a 1 pixel border using your background colour

  30. Add a 25 pixel white select with magic wand.

  31. Effects, Plugins, VM Natural, Splash! and use the following settings:-

    • Center X      121
    • Center Y      123
    • Frequency      19
    • Ray length 1      17
    • Ray length 2      22

  32. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  33. Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  34. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  35. Selections, select all.

  36. Selections, modify, contract and contract by 8.

  37. Selections, invert.

  38. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop shadow and use the settings used previously.

  39. Resize your graphic

  40. Add a new layer for your watermark.

  41. Merge all, flatten.

    BACKGROUND

  42. Maximized the graphic that we have left.

  43. Effects, Plugins, VM Natural, Splash! And use the same settings as before.

  44. Effects, Image Effects, Seamless tiling and use the following settings:-

    • Mirror checked
    • Bidirectional checked

  45. Lower the opacity of this layer to around 50% depending on the colours in your background.
