Two Moon Filters

A graphic of your choice.
The graphic I used in this tutorial is used with permission from Mr Tom Sierak, who has kindly allowed me to use his wonderful artwork in my tutorials.


If you have everything you need, let’s begin.


  1. Open your graphic in PSP and resize so that it’s no longer than 350 pixels on the longest side.

  2. Shift + D twice to duplicate the image. Close the original and minimize one of the copies for now.

    BACKGROUND

  3. Effects, plugins, Kiwi’s Oelfilter, Augenspiegel and use the default settings:-

    • Bild ausrichten 1:      128
    • Bild ausrichten 2:      128
    • Bild drehen:      0

    • Katze--à Mensch:      0

    • Auge ausrichten:      130
    • AugengroBe:      152

  4. Effects, Plugins, Kiwi’s Oelfilter, Setzboard and use the following settings:-

    • FachgroBe:      20

  5. Effects, Plugins, Two Moon, Endagered Species and use the following settings:-

    • Tiger Stripes:      34
    • Inverterish:      224
    • Big Mover:      37
    • IdyBidy Mover:      224
    • Major Fades:      225
    • Corporal Fades:      215
    • Whirte Out:      0

  6. Right click in your layer palette and promote background layer.

  7. Lower the opacity to around 30%.

  8. Effects, Image Effects, Seamless tiling and use the following settings:-

    • Corner checked.
    • Bidirectional checked.
    • Curved checked.

  9. Merge all flatten and save in Jpeg format as your background. You can now close this image down.

    FRAME

  10. Maximize the 2nd of your two graphics. Selections, select all.

  11. Selections, modify, contract by 15.

  12. Selections, invert.

  13. Effects, Art Media Effects, Colored Pencil and use the following settings:-

    • Detail:      100
    • Opacity:       50

  14. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:-

    • Vertical & Horizontal:      5
    • Opacity:       55
    • Blur:      25
    • Color:      Black

  15. Repeat the drop shadow changing the Vertical & Horizontal to – 5 (minus).

  16. Selections, Invert.

  17. Effects, 3D Effects, inner bevel and use the Round factory settings.

  18. Deselect.

  19. Image, Add border and add a 25 pixel white border.

  20. Select the border with your magic wand.

  21. In your colour palette, change your foreground to pattern and search for the graphic we are working on using the following settings:-

    • Angle:      45
    • Scale:      50

  22. Flood fill your border with this pattern.

  23. Effects, Art Media Effects, Brush Strokes and use the following settings:-

    • Softness:      45
    • Bristles:      241
    • Width:       8
    • Opacity:       53
    • Length:      2
    • Density:       85
    • Angle:      259
    • Color:      White

  24. Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel and use the Round preset again.

  25. Deselect.

  26. Image, add border and add a 5 pixel border using a light grey colour.

  27. Select the border with your magic wand and use the same inner bevel as before.

  28. Add a new layer for your watermark.

  29. Merge all, flatten.

  30. Image, resize to a height of no more than 380 pixels.

  31. Save as a jpeg.
