This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblence to another is purely co-incidental. Please do not pull it apart and claim it as your own. Tools needed to complete this tutorial:-

Paint Shop Pro V8

A graphic of your choice.

I do not know the artist of the graphic used for this tutorial. If it is your artwork, please let me know so I can give proper credit, or remove if so needed.

No outside filters were used in the creation of this frame.

A gold gradient

If you have everything you need, let's begin.

1. Open your image of choice. (An image that is a lot wider than longer works best).

2. Shift + D to duplicate the image. Close the original.

3. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel white or light grey border, depending on the colours in your graphic.

4. Select the border with your magic wand, tolerance and feather set to 0.

5. Flood fill with a gold gradient and deselect.

6. Using your eye dropper, select a dark foreground and light background colour from your image.

7. Image add border, and a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

8. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

9. Image, add border and add a 5 pixel white border. Select the border with your magic wand and flood fill with the same gold gradient you used before.

10. Deselect.

11. Repeat steps 7 to 10.

12. Image add border. Make sure symmetrical is unchecked. Set you bottom and top to 0. Set your left and right to 25, colour white.

13. Holding down your shift key, click on both side borders with your magic wand.

14. Flood fill with the gold gradient. Leave selected.

15. Selections, promote selection to layer.

16. Effects, 3D Effects, inner bevel and apply the following settings:-
    • Bevel:    Pie
      
    • Width:    15
      
    • Smoothness:    15
      
    • Depth:    1
      
    • Ambience:    0
      
    • Shininess:    50
      
    • Color:    White
      
    • Angle:    315
      
    • Intensity:    43
      
    • Elevation:    30

17. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop shadow and use the following settings:-
    • Vertical:    0
      
    • Horizontal:    4
      
    • Opacity:    55
      
    • Blur:    10
      
    • Color:    Black

18. Repeat the drop shadow but change the horizontal to -4 (minus).

19. Deselect.

20. Duplicate this layer.

21. Image, rotate, free rotate and rotate 45 degrees to the right. All layers unchecked.

22. Merge all, flatten.

23. Repeat steps 3 to 10.

24. Add a new white border, this, symmetrical unchecked. Top and bottom set to 25, left and right set to 0.

25. Holding down your shift key, select the top and bottom border with your magic wand.

26. Flood fill with your gold fill.

27. Effects, 3D Effects, inner bevel and use the same settings as before.

28. Selections, promote selection to layer. Deselect.

29. Duplicate this layer. Image, rotate, and this time rotate 45 degrees to the left, again, all layers UNchecked.

30. Selections, select all. Selections, float. Selections, defloat.

31. Effects 3D effects, drop shadow and use the same settings as before.

32. Repeat the drop shadow changing your horizontal to 4.

33. Deselect.

34. Merge all, flatten.

35. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

36. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

37. Image, add border, and add a 2 pixel white border.

38. Select the border with your magic wand and flood fill with your gold gradient.

39. Deselect.

40. Image, resize and resize to a size you like.
