NOISE SIDE BORDER
This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely co-incidental. Please do not pull it apart and claim it as your own.

Tools needed to complete this tutorial:-
Corel XI
Filter Factory J
Filter Factory filters need to be converted to be used in Paint Shop Pro. You will need a program called Plugin Commander. A link for this program is found at the site above.
A graphic of your choice.

If you have everything you need, let’s begin.
- Open your graphic and resize to no wider than 350 pixels on the longest side.
- In your layer palette, right click on your background layer, promote to layer.
- Click on your selection tool, custom selection and use the following settings:-
- Top: 0
- Left: 25
- Right: 50
- Bottom: Total length of your graphic.
- Adjust, Add/Remove noise, Add noise and use a number of 45 random and monochrome checked.
- Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel and use the following settings:-
- Pie Bevel
- Smoothness: 2
- Depth: 1
- Ambience: 0
- Shininess: 50
- Color: White
- Angle: 315
- Intensity: 50
- Elevation: 30
- Effects, 3D Effects, Chisel and use the following settings:-
- Size: 10
- Transparent: Checked
- Deselect.
- Click on your custom selection again with these settings:-
- Top: 0
- Left: 50 pixels less than the total width of your graphic.
- Right: 25 pixels less than the total width of your graphic.
- Bottom: Total length of your graphic.
- Adjust, Add/Remove noise. Add noise and use the same settings as before.
- Effects, 3D effects, Inner Bevel and use the same settings as before.
- Effects, 3D effects, Chisel and use the same settings as before.
- Deselect.
- Shift + D to duplicate your image.
- Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the following settings:-
- Corner Checked
- Bidirectional Checked
- Horizontal offset: 0
- Vertical offset: 44
- Transition: 15
- Curved Checked
- Effects, Plugins, Filter Factory Gallery J, Drink to Me, and use an overdose of 15.
- Depending on the colours in your graphic, you may want to lower the opacity of this layer to around the 35% mark.
- Merge all flatten.
- Minimize this background image.
- In your colour palette, change your foreground to pattern and using your drop down menu, find the background that we’ve just made and set the angle to 0 and your scale to 100.
- Back to our original graphic.
- Image, canvas size and use the following settings:-
- Width: 1250
- Length: Total length of your graphic.
- Placement: Left middle arrow
- Add a new layer, and flood fill this with your pattern. Layers, arrange, send to bottom.
- Making sure layer 1 is the active layer, go to Effects, 3D effects, Drop shadow and add thefollowing:-
- Vertical: 0
- Horizontal: 5
- Opacity: 65
- Blur: 15
- Color: Black
- Shadow on new layer Uncheck.
- Merge visible.
- Selections, select all.
- Selections, Modify, Contract and contract by 3.
- Image, Crop to Selection.
- Effects, Image Effects, Seamless tiling and use the following settings:-
- Edge checked
- Vertical checked
- Width & Transition: 25%
- Add a new layer for your watermark.
- Merge all flatten.
You can now take it along to Letter Creator. A program that comes with IncrediMail
