Flood Side Border and Background

A graphic of your choice.
Ok, if you have everything you need, let's get started.
- Open your graphic in PSP and resize so that it is no wider than 350 pixels.
- Shift + D twice. Minimize one of the copies.
BACKGROUND
- Effects, Plugins, Flaming Pear, Flood and use the following settings:-
- Horizon: 50 (so half the image is flooded)
- Offset: 0
- Perspective: 57
- Altitude: 50
- Waviness: 32
- Complexity: 34
- Brillance: 56
- Blur: 34
- Size: 0
- Height: 33
- Undulation: 40
- Glue: Normal
- Effects, distortion effects, wind and use the default settings:-
- Duplicate the background layer.
- Effects, distortion effects, wind and use the following settings:-
- From left: Checked
- Wind Strength: 100
- Lower the opacity of this layer down to 50%.
- Merge all flatten.
- Save as a jpeg, name it background, and open it in 20/20.
- Image, muted background, make sure seamless tile is checked.
- Lower the opacity slider to around the 90 or 95% mark. We don't want to lose the flood effect, so don't take it
too much lower than that.
- Save and take it back to PSP, minimizing for now.
SIDE BORDER
- Maximize the graphic that we haven't worked on yet.
- Right click on background and promote to layer.
- Layers, load/save mask and apply right edge dc mask.
- Layers, merge, merge group.
- Image, mirror.
- Layers, load/save mask and apply the right edge dc mask again.
- Layers, merge, merge group.
- Image, Mirror.
- Image, canvas size and use the following settings:-
- Width: 1024
- Height: (original height of your graphic)
- Placement: Click on the left middle arrow.
- Effects, 3D Effects, drop shadow and apply the following settings:
- Vertical: 0
- Horizontal: 5
- Opacity: 55
- Blur: 8
- Color: Black
- Shadow on new layer: UNchecked
- Repeat the drop shadow but change the horizontal to minus 5.
- Add a new raster layer.
- In your colour palette, set your foreground to pattern and select the flood background pattern we made earlier, Scale 100,
Angle 0.
- Layers, arrange send to bottom.
- If the background is still too dark, lower the opacity a little on this layer.
- Merge all, flatten.
- Effects, Plugins, FM Tile tools, seamless tile and use the following settings:-
- Border width: 0.160
- Stretch Control: 0.160
- Vertical: Checked.
