DIVIDER STATIONERY

Simple Filters

If you have everything you need, lets get started.



  1. Open your graphic and shift + D to duplicate.

  2. Close the original. Resize if necessary.

  3. Using your dropper tool, chose a foreground and background complimenting colours.

  4. Image, add border and use the darkest of your two chosen colors. Add a 5 pixel symmetrical border.

  5. Select the border with your magic wand and add the following inner bevel.

    • Bevel:    Pie
    • Width:    8
    • Smoothness and depth:    5
    • Ambience:    0
    • Shininess:    10
    • Color:    White
    • Angle:    351
    • Intensity:    45
    • Elevation:    35

  6. Effects, 3D Effects, drop shadow and use the following settings:-

    • Vertical & Horizontal:    3
    • Opacity:    55
    • Blur:    12
    • Color:    black
    • Shadow on new layer:    UNchecked.

  7. Effects, 3D Effects, drop shadow and change the vertical and horizontal to minus 3.

  8. Selections, select none.

  9. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border with the light colour.

  10. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border with the darker color.

  11. Image, add border and add a 5 pixel border with your light color.

  12. Select this border with your magic wand and apply the same inner bevel as before.

  13. Selections, select none.

  14. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border with the dark color.

  15. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border with the light color.

  16. Image, add border and add a 5 pixel border with the dark color.

  17. Select this border with your magic wand and add the same inner bevel as before.

  18. Image, add border and add a 25 pixel border with your light color.

  19. Select this border with your magic wand.

  20. Effects, plugins, Simple, Diamonds.

  21. Selections, promote selection to layer.

  22. Selections, selection none.

  23. Using your magic wand, and holding down the shift key, click on the light color of the diamonds.

  24. Effects, 3D effects, inner bevel and use the same settings as before.

  25. Selections, Select none.

  26. Merge all, flatten.

  27. Repeat steps 4 through to 17.

  28. Shift + D to duplicate the framed image and minimize for now.


    MAKING THE DIVIDER


  29. Open a 400 x 100 transparent image.

  30. Click on your text tool and chose the following settings:

    • Create as:    Floating
    • Font:    Seperates
    • Size:    95
    • Stroke width:    1
    • Anti-alias:     Checked
    • Foreground/Stoke:    Null
    • Background, fill:    Set to the darker of your two colors.

  31. Use the lower case h and apply.

  32. Effects, 3D Effects, inner bevel using the same settings as before. Deselect.

  33. Edit, copy.

  34. Go back to the frame image, right click and promote background to layer.

  35. Image, canvas size and use the following settings:-

    • Width:    The width of your framed image.
    • Height:    The height of your framed image + 100
    • Placement:    Top middle arrow.

  36. Edit, paste and using your mover tool bring the divider bar to just under the original graphic, centered.

  37. Merge visible.

  38. Edit, copy. Edit, paste as new image to get rid of any unwanted transparency underneath the divider.

  39. Add your watermark now.

  40. File, export, Gif optimizer with the default settings:-


    BACKGROUND


  41. Maximize the duplicated framed image.

  42. Effects, plugins, Simple, 4 Way Average.

  43. Effects, plugins, Simple, quick tile.

  44. Save as a jpeg and name background.

  45. Open your background image in 20/20.

  46. Image, muted background. Lower the opacity tool to around 35% and make sure that seamless tile is not checked.

  47. Save.
