The graphic used in this tutorial is used with according to Group Permission.

FRAME


  1. Open your graphic and resize so that it’s no longer than 350 pixels.

  2. Windows, Duplicate and minimize the duplicate.

  3. Edit, copy.

  4. Using your eye dropper tool chose a dark foreground and light background colour from your graphic.

  5. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  6. Image add border and add a 10 pixel border using your background colour.

  7. Select the border with your magic wand.

  8. Effects, Plugins, Cybia, Screenworks and use the following settings:-

    • Light Gauze set to 0

  9. Deselect.

  10. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  11. Image add border and add a 25 pixel border using your background colour.

  12. Select the border with your magic wand.

  13. Edit, paste into selection.

  14. Effects, Plugins, Cybia, Screenworks and use the same settings as before.

  15. Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel and use the following settings:-

    • Pie Bevel
    • Width:      12
    • Smoothness:      0
    • Depth:      2
    • Ambience:      0
    • Shininess:      2
    • Color:      White
    • Angle:      315
    • Intensity:      60
    • Elevation:      30

  16. Deselect.

  17. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  18. Image add border and add a 10 pixel border using your background colour.

  19. Select the border with your magic wand.

  20. Edit, paste into selection.

  21. Deselect.

  22. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  23. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your background colour.

  24. Image, add border and add a 2 pixel border using your foreground colour.

  25. Add a new layer for your watermark then merge all flatten and resize if necessary.

  26. Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.


    BACKGROUND


  27. Open the minimized graphic.

  28. In your layer palette, right click and promote background layer.

  29. Lower the opacity to around 40% depending on the colours in the graphic.

  30. Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and use a setting of 15.

  31. Merge all, flatten.

  32. Effects, Image Effects, Seamless tiling and use the following settings:-

    • Mirror checked
    • Bidirectional checked
    • Horizontal & Vertical offset:      0
    • Width:      50


    You can now put it altogether in Letter Creator.
