Tools needed to complete this tutorial:
Corel X
A graphic of your choice.
The graphic used in this tutorial is used with permission from the very talented artist, Soa Lee.
Texturizer
Eye Candy 4000 demo
Open your graphic and resize if necessary.
Using your eye dropper chose a dark colour from your graphic for your background and a lighter colour for your foreground.
Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your background colour.
Select the border with your magic wand.
Selections, invert.
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and use the following settings:-
Vertical & Horizontal: 2
Opacity: 85
Blur: 13.80
Shadow colour: Black
Fill interior with colour: Unchecked
Deselect.
Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your foreground colour.
Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your background colour
Using your magic wand, select the last border.
Selections, Invert.
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and use the two settings used previously.
Deselect.
Image, add border and using your foreground colour use the following settings:-
Symmetrical Unchecked.
Top , 20
Bottom: , 20
Left: , 40
Right: , 40
Select the border with your magic wand.
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000, Swirl.
Once the Swirl window has opened, click on Settings, Whispy, and click on OK.
Effects, Plugins, Texturizer and use the following settings:-
Texture: , Canvas
Scaling: , 100
Relief: , 2
Light Direction: , Top Right
Invert Unchecked.
Deselect.
Image, add border and add a 4 pixel border using your background colour.
Select the border with your magic wand.
Selections, invert.
Effects, 3D Effects, Outer Bevel and use the same two settings as before.
Deselect.
Image, Add border, and add a 4 pixel border using your foreground colour.
Image, Add border, and add a 4 pixel border using your background colour.
Select the last border with your magic wand, selections, invert.
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and repeat the cutout using the -2 (minus 2) setting only.
Deselect.
Add a new raster layer for your watermark. Merge all flatten.
Save as a jpeg and add to a background of your choice.
