Tools needed to complete this tutorial:

Paint Shop Pro.

A graphic of your choice.

VM Natural & VM Toolbox.
Both of these can be found HERE.

20/20 A free program.

If you have everything you need, let’s begin.

  1. Frame your graphic using any frame you like.

  2. Save this for your header. Shift +D to make a copy of it, and you can now close down your header graphic.

  3. Effects, plugins, VM Natural, sparkle and use the default settings.

  4. Effects, plugins, VM Toolbox, Instant Tile and use the default settings:

  6. With your selection tool set to rectangle, draw a long rectangle from the top of the graphic to the bottom
    about 50 pixels in width, covering the center strip of the graphic.

  7. (Optional) Effects, plugins, VM Natural, Starmaker, and use the following settings:-

    • Center X    106
    • Center Y    106
    • Soft & Hard Radius    75
    • Rotation 1 & Beam 1    102
    • Rotation 2 & Beam 2    88

  8. Selections, select none.

  9. Save in JPEG format as background.

    This is what you should have now:-

  10. Open this graphic in 20/20.

  11. Image, muted background. Make sure seamless tile is checked and lower the opacity to around 50%.

  12. File, save.

    You have completed the tutorial. You can now put it all together in LC.
    Don’t forget to tile the background image.
