Art Media Signature Tag

Tools needed to complete this tutorial:-

Paint Shop Pro Version 8

ap Heart Ding Font

No outside filters were used in this tutorial.

A tube of your choice.

If you have everything you need, lets begin.

1. Open a 400 x 400 transparent image.

2. Open your tube and using your eyedropper chose two colours from your tube.

3. In your colour palette, change your background to gradient, and chose the foreground/background gradient with the following settings:-
   • Style:    Rectangular
     
   • Center Point:

     Horizontal:    50
     Vertical:    0

   • Focal Point:

     Horizontal & Vertical:    0

   • Invert:    Checked
     
   • Link center and focal points:    UNchecked.

4. Click on your text tool and set it to vector, size 180, line width 180, and ap_hearts font.

5. In your text dialogue box click on the letter G using the lower case.

6. Ojects, align, center in canvas.

7. Right click in your layer palette and convert to raster layer.

8. Effects, 3D effects, inner bevel and use the following settings:-
   • Bevel:    Pie
     
   • Width:    8
     
   • Smoothness:    15
     
   • Depth:    2
     
   • Ambience & Shininess:    0
     
   • Color:    White
     
   • Angle:    295
     
   • Intensity:    45
     
   • Elevation:    35

9. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Resize if necessary and position where you like.

10. Duplicate the tube layer and move slightly up and to the right of your canvas.

11. Layers, arrange, send to bottom.

12. Effects, Art Media Effects, Brush Strokes and apply the following settings:-
    • Softness:    45
      
    • Bristles:    241
      
    • Width:    16
      
    • Opacity:    53
      
    • Length:    1
      
    • Density:    95
      
    • Angle:    259
      
    • Color:    713535

13. Click on your tube layer and add the following drop shadow:-
    • Vertical:    0
      
    • Horizontal:    8
      
    • Opacity:    55
      
    • Blur:    10
      
    • Color:    Black
      
    • Shadow on new layer:    UNchecked.

14. Click on your dingfont layer. Edit repeat drop shadow.

15. Making sure the top layer is now highlighted, add a new raster layer.

16. Keeping your colour palette the same as before, click on your text tool and change vector to floating, and the font to one you like, and add the text that you want.

17. While it's still selected, effects, 3D effects, inner bevel and use the same settings as before.

18. Deselect.

19. Duplicate the text layer and pull the duplicated text upwards and over to the right a little.

20. Effects, Art Media Effects, Brush Strokes and use the same settings as before. Drag this layer to just under the text layer.

21. Make sure the text layer is the active layer and add the same drop shadow as before.

22. Add a new raster layer and use your watermark.

23. Merge, merge visible.

24. Edit, copy. Edit, paste as a new image to get rid of excess transparency.

25. Resize if necessary, merge all, flatten.
